Artist Name: eMCee Lo
Latest Release: Martian Machine

“I am a knowledge seeker and also a struggling minority living in a time where things move fast for a striving artist.
I'm trying to bring a gritty hip hop vibe as well as an old school intellectual ring to try and tie together that godly tone.”

Tell us all about this new track of yours!
The music brought forth is to influence people to think outside the box and to appreciate lyrical content as well as appreciate the raw realness exhibited by two striving Chicago artists that put a little spin on gritty Midwest hip hop.
This track Martian Machine and the whole concept of the album is Hip Hop themed from real gods perspective and what they would do and experience as mortal men.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?
RA the Rugged Man

Where are you from and what is the music scene like?
I'm a chicago native. Music is pretty diverse out here. I grew up on hip hop and gravitated towards Chicago artists. Common, Twists, Lupe Fiasco Kanye. Today is more of a trap/trill scene and I just wanted to bring something different to the table.

How have your life experiences influenced your music?
I had a complicated childhood. In and out of trouble landed me in prison several times and the negative impact was felt on many levels, but I have used music as a healing tool to try and teach that there is a more reserved and approachable way to live life and express Hip Hop.
